This is probably one of my most favorite scenes/lines in all of Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance.
Asuka loves being in the Eva. Its her passion to be a pilot. Yes, Eva Unit 03 did end up getting repainted red, but not by paint, but by the very own blood of the Evangelion.

This picture was actually painted by Raphael during the 1500s. It is considered to be one of Raphael first artwork that he had done for a church. After many years of restoring this master piece we’re happy to show it off. He had the idea for this painting night after he finished nge.
